Fred Neurohr

Fred is a New York native who has called Cincinnati his home for the past 20 years. He holds a Master of Science degree in Social Research from Hunter College of the City University of New York. During that academic pursuit, he worked as a research assistant at the American Foundation for the Blind where he concentrated on demographics, public policy, and issues around descriptive video and mass transit accessibility. In his capacity in the ophthalmology department of the top- ranked Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, he leads an innovative interdisciplinary low vision team, and introduced targeted low vision sports programming in southwestern Ohio, including boxing, tennis, and rock climbing. Fred also helped found The Bridge Adaptive Sports and Recreation, which is a groundbreaking adaptive sports organization, focusing on athletes of all ages with serious ambulatory limitations.
