Childhood blindness effect 40,000 children in Bangladesh and many of them are from underprivileged background. Along with large number of children who are visually impaired, many kids and youth under 18 also became partial or completely blind after the student-people uprising this year. To help both groups of visually impaired children who needs confidence to get back on their feet, Heroes for All once again collaborating with Camp Abilities World to bring the 2nd Camp Abilities Bangladesh from Dec 11 to 13 on 2025.
The Camp Abilities Bangladesh with an aim to empower kids with visual impairment is a three day sports camp. The camp also involves students who can see different institutions and train them as Camp counsellors, building a sense of empathy and responsibility. The Spin-off yearlong programs from the camp will also be implemented through training teachers and providing accessible sports equipment in schools and institutions that are willing to build an accessible environment of sports and learning.
Goal 1: To create an inclusive environment for children with visual impairment through sports that can contribute towards making the feel confident and help them to achieve a sense of normalcy.
